Nayleth had a lifelong aspiration of becoming a teacher and is now trained to be a literacy instructor. She has taught others to read and write in the Alfalit program since 2022.
Nayleth Gonzalez Palmar

In 2018, Nayleth enrolled in Alfalit classes as part of the first literacy project in Colombia at the Uchipa Center in Alta Guajira. This center is situated in the Guajira desert, 7 hours away from the nearest town.
After acquiring basic literacy and math skills, Nayleth progressed to Alfalit’s first primary program in Uribia, Colombia, in 2021. This further fueled her motivation, and she is currently pursuing her high school diploma with the support of a scholarship from the Wájaro Foundation… Despite being pregnant, Nayleth remains steadfast in her pursuits, driven to create a brighter future for herself and her son”.
